      Who do we want?
      We are looking for HVAC Service Technicians who want to take control of their own success and make the most of what we have to offer.

      Technicians at Neighborhood are responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, presenting & installing repair solutions to residential customer HVAC systems. Technicians work independently and as part of our team to demonstrate technical competency, offer great customer experiences, and perform high quality work.

      Neighborhood is a 4th generation family-owned company founded in 1947. We pride ourselves on keeping a small family company feel and making our work enjoyable while offering excellent customer service throughout our Central Minnesota service area.

      We are seeking capable, driven HVAC Technicians that are team players and are always willing to learn. We promote taking ownership of all aspects of our work, from failures to successes, while being able to learn from them and carry the experience(s) forward.

      What we expect from you:

      • Troubleshoot residential HVAC issues & present repair solutions
      • Complete same day repairs when applicable
      • Provide estimates, create work scopes and material lists
      • Fill out and submit proper paperwork to dispatch office and warehouse
      • Care for your company vehicle; maintain cleanliness inside & out
      • Alert Vehicles department for required oil changes & maintenance
      • Keep truck stock inventory organized and ensure proper counts
      • Maintain a clean and professional personal appearance
      • Ability to join and participate in our On Call rotation

      HVAC Service Technician Qualifications:

      • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
      • Possess and maintain a drivers license and clean driving record
      • Be able to work within our entire service area (Central MN)
      • Be able to work 40 hours a week (overtime occasionally offered)

      We are requiring experience for this position and, having advanced HVAC skills will increase your starting wage. This is not a starter position. installations that are installed in a timely manner with limited call backs. We want the best or the potential for the best. We have apprentices already.

      This is a great opportunity for an individual that have a solid career in the HVAC trade. You can also build hours toward Plumbing and Electrical licensing if you desire. This would give you the opportunity to expand and advance to even management in any of these fields as well, in the future.

      Role Summary:
      As a Customer Service Representative, you’ll deliver an exceptional experience on every call—combining high-quality inbound service with proactive outbound follow-up.

      This role is evolving beyond basic call-taking. You’ll still handle inbound calls and scheduling, but you’ll also reach out to customers after service, help book recommended follow-ups, and re-engage past customers for maintenance, seasonal promotions, and membership renewals.

        • Call recent customers to confirm satisfaction, answer questions, and schedule follow-ups
        • Re-engage customers with open estimates, aging equipment, or unscheduled recommendations
        • Contact customers for tune-ups, seasonal promotions, membership renewals, and follow-up opportunities
        • Support campaigns by calling targeted customer lists to generate booked appointments
      • Relationship Building & Retention
        • Treat every interaction as an opportunity to earn trust
        • Listen actively, show empathy, and represent our values on every call
        • Educate customers on maintenance plans, memberships, warranties, and protective services
        • Help turn one-time customers into long-term customers through consistent, high-quality care
      • Technology & Team Collaboration
        • Confidently use CRM tools, call systems, and online booking technology
        • Update customer history, track follow-ups, and ensure clean documentation
        • Partner closely with dispatch, technicians, sales, and leadership to keep schedules efficient and customers informed

        • Share feedback and ideas to improve scripts, systems, and customer experience

    • Our normal hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm. We also provide afterhours and weekend emergency service.
    • We service a wide swath of Central Minnesota, extending from Richmond, MN in the East to Taylor’s Falls in the West and as far South as Hugo to as far North as Brook Park. Our full service area map can be found here.
    • We provide full existing residential plumbing, heating, and electrical repair, service and installation. We do not provide services for new construction or commercial properties.
    • We do pricing by the job. We provide all jobs with options with pricing attached and will not proceed on any job unless given permission by the homeowner.
    • Our technicians come equipped with fully stocked trucks and we always strive to complete work the same day. While most jobs we do are completed same day, sometimes specialty parts may need to be ordered or job size may make it impossible to complete work same day. It’s always our goal to complete a job as quickly as possible.
    • On any job that results in installation of new equipment we provide free, no-obligation estimates. Service work that requires a diagnostic comes with a standard $99 service charge.
    • Yes, Neighborhood is fully licensed and insured in the State of Minnesota.
